D Young V

. G-14 (2016)

D Young V has been a working artist in San Francisco since 2003. After earning an MFA from the Academy of Art University in 2006, he has been engaged in gallery shows, installations, muraling, and global street art projects. Known mainly for his meticulous pen drawing and post-apocalyptic themed projects, he has transitioned into creating an ongoing series of portraits depicting his community, fellow artists, and loved ones. These portraits include the faces of his subjects, as well as their hands. They serve as a personal diary documenting his experiences with these people and the lives they live.
